The Dschinni Closed Chamber System - An innovative solution

Das Dschinni Closed Chamber System - Eine innovative Lösung

Classic traditional shishas inevitably have a closed chamber system because the structure or construction geometry and the use of a plug-in pipe require it for the shisha to work. The smoke column is inserted into the bowl and therefore has a certain stem that protrudes into the neck of the bottle. This means that the inflow and outflow lines also have to lead into the neck. With the old plug-in pipes, the neck is inserted into the bowl with the help of a seal and thus tightly connected. This stem of the smoke column is necessary for good stability so that the smoke column does not fall off the bowl or become loose. In the past there were no hookahs with threads, so the technical options available were used. Producing threads was rather complex and the soft materials, which were relatively easy to machine, did not promise longevity. In addition, with more stable materials, such as stainless steel, you need a large and complex CNC machine to produce a thread. With the closed chamber system you didn't have this problem. It used to be a design solution to be able to produce hookahs commercially and ensure their functionality.

Genie Shisha finds the solution

As the first manufacturer on the shisha market, we at Dschinni decided to solve the problem by modifying the base so that we have the effect of a traditional shisha. With traditional shishas, the air flow is bundled vertically and directed laminarly into the bowl. This means that there is no turbulence and the air flow also manages to reach the deeper levels of a shisha bowl . This will push the stale smoke out of the bowl. To do this, we milled the base as a solid body and also guided the hose connection vertically. Dschinni was able to revolutionize previous attempts to introduce a closed chamber system in modern hookahs , which were much too complicated in construction.

A closed chamber system is not always applicable

If you now look into the base of a modern Dschinni Shisha , which has a closed chamber system, you will see two holes in a flat plate and not, as with previous hollow bases, the curvature of the base. However, the Dschinni Closed Chamber System is limited to the construction geometry of the bowl . If the bowl has too many curvatures, the laminar airflow breaks again and it is not possible to use it perfectly because the curvatures of the bowl change the direction of the air. A long, straight Genie bowl neck is most ideal for this.
