Aluminum is a light and inexpensive material.
It is easy to process and cheaper than other materials such as stainless steel or brass. A big advantage of aluminum is its low weight. However, the material is also very soft and can quickly show flaws or damage from impacts. Therefore, you should be very careful when processing and handling to avoid thread jams and flaws in the material. It is also delicate and not particularly durable. Unfortunately, it is also usually manufactured with inferior quality because it is manufactured using a mass production process.
Aluminum is easy to clean, but the flavors of the tobacco can change more easily than with e.g. Staple stainless steel into the material.
Stainless steel is the most commonly used and most stable material for hookahs. It is easy to clean and is also used in the food industry. Most pipes are made of V2A stainless steel as it does not rust, is acid-resistant and can withstand temperatures of up to 600 degrees Celsius.
With V2A stainless steel, you should still make sure that it does not come into contact with certain chemicals or vapors such as chlorine. If the stainless steel comes into contact with water containing chlorine, flash rust can occur. Even in salty air, flash rust can occur under high loads.
The situation is different with V4A stainless steel, which can withstand these conditions and is even more stable and easier to clean.
Due to its sealed surface, stainless steel does not retain its own taste and is easy to clean, so you can smoke different types of tobacco in the stainless steel shisha without the taste of a particular type sticking.
In most cases it is enough to rinse the shisha with cold water to clean it, but we still recommend cleaning stainless steel shishas with warm to hot water.
However, unlike aluminum, stainless steel is much heavier, which is potentially a disadvantage in terms of mobility.
We use high-quality stainless steel and aluminum for our Dschinni shishas, thereby creating a selection of shishas for every price budget.
Nevertheless, we pay strict attention to the quality of our materials even with the inexpensive models, for example. All parts that come into contact with the smoke or molasses on a pipe are always made of stainless steel and combine this with an outer shell made of cheaper aluminum in order to be able to offer the customer a perfect shisha at a low price (like our Genie Foxx).
We also have full stainless steel shishas made of V4A stainless steel (like our Dschinni Aztec)
These high-quality materials are paired with accessories such as tubes made of lifelike silicone and bowls made of high-borosilicate glass 3.3 laboratory glass.
