"Why 25g shisha tobacco is better than 200g packaging"
Find out here why small packaging units of 25g for shisha tobacco offer advantages for the end consumer. Since a new regulation, manufacturers have been forced to reduce the packaging unit to 25g, which causes higher packaging costs and production costs that affect the selling price. But are 25g packaging really worse than larger packaging units?
After years of working in the industry, the situation was examined more closely and comparisons were made with traditional hookah countries where there was no free market without restrictions. It was found that the most popular packaging unit was 50g, and not 200g or kilograms, as was the case in Germany. Through closer inspection and questions, advantages emerged that were not initially apparent.
1. Fresh, moist and intense tobacco: With every 25g unit you always have fresh tobacco that has not lost any aromas and has not lost any moisture. In larger packaging units, molasses often settles at the bottom, meaning the tobacco has to be mixed before it can be smoked. This is not necessary for 25g packaging. This ensures the quality of the tobacco.
2. Save money: Everyone should open their tobacco cabinet and see how many cans are there and how long they have been there. Often the tobacco goes bad and has to be thrown away, resulting in losses. With 25g units you don't have this problem because the tobacco is always fresh and doesn't spoil. Everyone can calculate for themselves how much money they invested in cans that they later had to throw away.
3. No more expensive bad purchases: Taste is a matter of taste, and not everyone likes the same thing. With larger packaging units you can quickly make an expensive mistake. With 25g packaging you can try different flavors without having to buy a whole can. This way you can find your favorite varieties without having to spend money on bad purchases.
The advantages of smaller packaging units outweigh the increased costs and packaging effort. This insight can be derived from role models from traditional shisha countries. If you have any further points or counterarguments, please leave us a comment.
