Start with a small amount of the paste - you can always add more to the next bowl if you want it to be more intense! If you want to smoke the shisha paste pure and without tobacco, you will need more heat, especially at the beginning, than with tobacco or squeezy mixes. It is best to give the bowl 5-10 minutes to warm up after putting the coal on and/or use a wind shield to start with.
