Material differences in the Dschinni Legend Shisha

The main reason why the Dschinni Legends look so similar is because the bowl, the interior, the wood and the plate are identical. Only the base and the head connection are made from different materials and processed differently. To be more precise, it is the metal parts that make the difference. This is because we use two materials whose price levels differ greatly: anodized aluminum and V4A stainless steel. Aluminum is a lot cheaper than stainless steel, which is because the raw material is cheaper to purchase, but processing is also less expensive because aluminum is a very soft material. This gives you the advantage of less tool wear and a shorter set-up time.

The Genie Legend: The manufacturing cost factor

The biggest cost factor for the Dschinni Legend Shishas is, as you might already guess, the manufacturing process. The Dschinni Legend Shishas do not have a smooth surface on the base and head connection, as is usual with other aluminum or stainless steel models. They have artistic engravings that first have to be milled into the material. This alone results in higher production costs than with other Sishas. After all, the milling head has to work very precisely and delicately, which takes a certain amount of time. In addition, a material such as V4A stainless steel is particularly hard and resistant, which makes processing more difficult and lengthy. For stainless steel elements, engraving takes around 10 hours. With aluminum elements, this procedure can of course be carried out faster and easier because the material is softer and the machine therefore experiences less wear and tear. There is also a specific machine hourly rate that must be calculated during production. The machine hour rate arises because large industrial machines are depreciated based on their usage, i.e. the operating hours. Of course, it can vary greatly depending on the system and effort involved and in Germany it is around 55 euros per hour. Since we have our own production at Dschinni , we can offer it at a lower price.
